Job description
An exciting new role has come up with our client in the mining sector for a Reporting Officer to join the team. This role sits within a member organisation who work to support implementation of due diligence across mineral supply chains. You will become a part of their award-winning programme working towards Responsible Mineral Supply Chains, playing a crucial role acting as the point of coordination, preparation, and submission of reports for the programme.
You will be working closely with field teams and other departments and will be responsible for managing and processing all information and reports received from these teams, confirming accuracy and handling appropriate submission of data. You will also be analysing this information to ensure compliance with OECD Due Diligence Guidance. Following this, you will devise and deliver update reports including but not limited to baseline studies, and narrative and incident reports.
Furthermore, you will be liaising with management and implementation teams on procedures and protocols, any other data or reporting issues. As such, you will need strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with all stakeholders involved. With your existing knowledge and experience, you will develop expertise on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for responsible supply chain of minerals from conflict-affected/high-risk areas, as well as keeping up to date with relevant legislation and regulations relevant to responsible sourcing in the mining sector. Therefore, you will need to demonstrate a proactive attitude and be confident working independently.
For this role, you must be fluent in both English and French, and must be based in the UK or EU (preferably UK or Germany). If you feel you have suitable skills and experience and would like to find out more details about the role, please send your CV to gknox@allen-york.com.
