Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading tour operators as they look to recruit a Responsible Sourcing Manager to join their growing Sustainability Team. This new role, driven by the company's commitment to embedding sustainability comprehensively within their operations, will report to the Sustainability Manager and work alongside other committed individuals in a collaborative and progressive environment. It's a really exciting time to join the business as the sustainability strategy is about to be launched and you will add to this by feeding into it, utilising your supply chain expertise to deliver a comprehensive engagement programme.
You'll be working in a supply chain capacity currently, most likely in a corporate setting and your expertise will extend to Scope 3 and social compliance, working with diverse supply chains and experience influencing stakeholders. It goes without saying that you'll be a strong communicator and be good at managing multiple workstreams at any one time.
You'll hold a degree and ideally an additional qualification in sustainability, such as Sustainable Supply Chain Management and given the nature of the organisation, you'll have a passion for sustainable travel and tourism.
You'll be adept at communicating information both internally and externally, you'll be curious and have a strong sense of initiative and a good commercial acumen, combined with pragmatism and enthusiasm.
With offices based in Crawley, you'll be required to work two days there to collaborate and share best practice and then the remainder of your week can be from home, so you'll live within commutable distance of the office location.
