Responsible Sourcing Manager - Conflict Minerals

Job description

Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Responsible Sourcing Manager focusing on Conflict Minerals. This is a new and a key role in the business, leading on sourcing in relation to Conflict Minerals.

As the subject matter expert on conflict minerals, you will need to bring your knowledge and experience in working with Conflict Minerals Reporting Templates (CMRT), familiarity with current and upcoming relevant legislation, and in devising and implementing responsible sourcing strategies. With this, you will be responsible for analysing the supply chain to identify risks related to conflict minerals, working with suppliers and internal departments to ensure compliance, and providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams on responsible sourcing in this area. As such, you will need to be a strong communicator who is confident interacting with senior stakeholders and managing teams. You will also manage the release of the CMRT to customers.

This role will sit in the wider sustainability team and will report into the Group Sustainability Sourcing Manager, working closely with different departments across the business, so any additional broader sustainability experience or exposure would be beneficial.

Their office is based in Gloucestershire and you would be expected to have some presence there to engage and collaborate with the team, however there is flexibility with remote and hybrid working, plus a very attractive benefits package on offer.

If you have experience in sourcing relating to Conflict Minerals and are looking for your next career move in a dynamic, global organisation in a role with a large scope for impact, please send your CV to gknox@allen-york.com for further details.
