Safety and Assurance Engineer £40k-£50k
Dorchester, Burton upon Trent, Bristol and Warrington UK (Hybrid Working)

Our client assists organisations deliver innovative engineering and technical solutions to make lives safe, secure and affordable. They are currently seeking a Safety and Assurance Engineer to work within a consultancy environment which offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects which you will be expected to bid for, win, work on and manage.
The role
You may be expected to;
- Lead Aerospace projects (Safety assessments for rotary and fixed wing aircraft)
- Manage projects that take actions to reduce Climate Change
- Work on Rail projects (Developing Safety case reports and Hazard records)
- Use your Safety and assurance expertise to assist in maritime projects.
- Develop safety cases for land vehicles ranging from armoured vehicles, troop transports, bridge laying equipment and other uniquely bespoke equipment as required by defence related clients.
Requirements
You will have skills, knowledge and experience in;
- Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy
- Qualified to Chartered Engineer level (or working towards)
- Derivation of Safety Functional Requirements
- Hazard Identification / Hazard Analysis / Fault Sequence Assessment
- Deterministic and /or Probabilistic Safety Assessment or Engineering Design Substantiation
- Safety Case development and authoring
- Safety management and its application throughout the equipment lifecycle; including design, operation, and decommissioning.
- The ability to build relationships both externally with our clients and internally with our delivery teams and support functions.
