Senior Archaeologist Opportunity
Location: Tucson, AZ
Salary: Competitive

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Archaeologist to join a leading environmental consultancy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead cultural resource projects, mentor a talented team, and contribute to projects that make a significant impact in the Western United States.

The Role:
As a senior leader, you will act as the technical resource lead and principal investigator for high-profile cultural resource investigations across various sectors, including utilities, renewable energy, transportation, and government. You will manage archaeological and historical resource projects, oversee technical studies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Mentoring and developing a team of cultural resource professionals.

  • Managing program budgets and operations.

  • Leading business development efforts to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Drafting technical proposals and ensuring successful project delivery.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • MA/MS in cultural resources or archaeology (Southwestern focus preferred).

  • Extensive experience of progressive leadership experience in cultural resource consulting.

  • Expertise in NHPA Section 106 and 110, Determinations of Eligibility, and ethnographic research.

  • Familiarity with GIS/GPS mapping and Registered Professional Archaeologist status is advantageous.

  • Permits or eligibility for Arizona and New Mexico state and federal lands.
