Senior Consultant - Carbon Specialist
Flexible on UK location, if home based regular visits to the Bristol office will be required.

As an experienced Senior Carbon Consultant this is a exciting opportunity to join a team of likeminded individuals as a senior consultant. The role sits within the Circular Economy team and will also support various UK Policy projects as required. The role requires excellent technical and project management skills to deliver high quality consultancy for private, public and third sector clients.
As a valuable member of the team, you will have proven experience in all aspects of consultancy, managing and delivering consultancy support to clients. Drawing on your previous experience within the sector, you will contribute to the development of business area strategy, lead projects and bids, tender writing and provide support to the development of more junior colleagues. This role will contribute to existing projects and play a lead role in further developing our clients portfolio of climate change work both in the UK and internationally.
Utilising your knowledge of national and international climate change policy, along with your experience in the application of carbon assessment methods in the resources and waste sector, you will work to support organisations to make decisions and changes to the way they do business and operate to reduce carbon and costs, improve profits and reduce their environmental impacts.
As a senior consultant your previous experience of assessing opportunities and implement change around the areas of resource and waste management and associated carbon reduction, along with a understanding of UK Net Zero targets and strategy will allow you to flourish in this role working closely with regulatory authorities and private sector businesses.
Successful candidates will have a passion for the environment and delivering beneficial outcomes, expertise in the key methods used to model carbon emissions and identify carbon reduction opportunities, including detailed knowledge of scope 3 emissions assessment, be educated to degree level in a relevant field with further degree or professional qualification. Experience of managing and taking responsibility for delivering successful projects of different sizes, experience of preparing/writing bids, strong networking capability and a well-developed network of contacts, excellent written and oral communication skills, energy and enthusiasm, and a creative approach to problem solving.
This is a permanent contract for 37.5 hours per week, with the salary ranging between £28,000 - £45,000* DOE with five weeks holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays. The client is flexible on location, although occasional travel to the Bristol office will be required as you will be working closely with this team.
*although a salary range of £28,000-£45,000 has been set for this role we would welcome applications from all levels of experience and salary ranges as there is the potential for flexibility at the top end of this range for the right candidate.
