Senior Ecologist

A well-established environmental and infrastructure consultancy is looking for a Senior Ecologist to join its growing regional team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality terrestrial and protected species consultancy across a varied project portfolio.
You'll lead ecological surveys and PEAs, provide Ecological Clerk of Works support, respond to environmental incidents, and deliver clear, compliant reporting. The role also includes advising clients and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to Water and Ecology reports, mentoring junior ecologists, and supporting project delivery and business development.
Applicants should have strong consultancy experience, strong protected species expertise, and a solid understanding of UK wildlife legislation and survey guidance. A protected species licence, professional membership (ideally CIEEM), and confidence with report writing and GIS are essential. Flexibility to travel and a full UK driving licence are required.
