Senior Infrastructure Engineer

An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its Land Development and Engineering team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and development projects within a collaborative and experienced engineering environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality infrastructure designs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will contribute to the development of engineering strategies and support their implementation throughout the project lifecycle. The role will involve securing technical approvals for adoptable works, including agreements such as S104, S38 and S278, while ensuring all designs meet current industry Codes of Practice and relevant regulations.
You will work closely with internal design teams, clients and external stakeholders, maintaining clear communication to ensure successful project delivery. Additional responsibilities include supporting quality assurance procedures, contributing to fee preparation and project budgeting, assisting with technical report production, and helping mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in highway design, ground modelling, drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including experience with sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). Experience using industry software such as AutoCAD, PDS or XP Site 3D (or similar), and MicroDrainage WinDES/Flow is expected, alongside proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Applicants should ideally have 5+ years' experience within a consultancy environment and hold a degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
