Our client is a global environmental charity, known to creating sustainable partnerships with corporations and scientists to respond to global challenges in a way that conserves the planet.
They are looking for an experienced, driven and well-organised land bank manager with strong project management skills to plan and deliver an exciting and complex urban tree planting and community engagement project, with a new corporate partner.
This person will be the central point of contact for multiple internal and external stakeholders, responsible for securing an extensive urban land bank and driving the project forward to achieve a number of fixed project milestones.
Experts from across the charity will contribute to the project planning, and will remain involved to deliver some of the technical activities and tasks but this person will be responsible for contracting with landowners and planting multiple forests by end March 2022. This is a fixed term contract that runs until April 2022 (with possibility of extension).
The ideal candidate is experienced at securing an extensive land bank (ideally in urban areas). You will be a strong project and relationship manager; a keen focus on ensuring delivery of diverse activities to a high standard is important. You will have experience in, working with local authorities, corporates, communities and schools and overseeing design and delivery of the capital works. You will be effective at planning and working to agreed/developing new processes to deliver results, demonstrating collaborative working across different partners, internal teams and functions. You are able to set and communicate priorities effectively and deliver project objectives to time and budget.
