Senior Site Manager based in Sassnitz, Germany

Scope:
The role will be to coordinate and manage all the completion and maintenance of the Offshore Substation that occur after the energisation of the asset, including but not limited to substation end of commissioning, end of fabrication, maintenance, modifications, guarantees, welfare, and substation housekeeping. The role will continue until the OSS is in a condition suitable for handover to the O&M team and such handover is executed. The work language is English.

This will be 10 hours a day Monday-Friday starting April and ending in December 2024 Site Based office - Port of Neu Mukran.


Responsibilities ( but not limited to):
* Act as a Site Interface with other packages and suppliers to make sure that they are aware of all the information that they need to start with their works in terms of access, schedule, formalities, POB and etcetera, with the help of the Logistic Engineers and the Technical Office Manager wherever it applies.
* Daily coordination of the onshore and offshore teams.
* Day to day management of the OSS post-energisation.
* Decision on priority allocation of daily/weekly works supporting the onshore team in case of conflict.
* Develop, manage and review the appropriate offshore works programme.
* Distribute additional tasks and responsibilities among the team depending on the development of the facts or modification of the existing ones.
* Ensure all modifications, snagging and outstanding works are properly recorded and tracked for efficient work management.
* Ensure continuously site operation in a smooth and non-interrupted schedule of construction works under their control.
* Ensure QAQC policies and procedures are maintained during the offshore works.
* Ensure the subcontractor's compliance with its contractual obligations.
* Guide and instruct the team in order to meet the project milestones.
* High level coordination of the OSS team for all the activities to be performed aboard the OSS, the port offices and their linked logistics.
* Lead safety management during construction, ensuring that all company HSE procedures and policies are followed.
* Make key decisions about the POB of the OSS in order to maximise the capacity and optimise the works that will take place with the help of the Logistics Engineers
* Analise the Project Schedule in order to propose corrective and mitigation measures if required.
* Assure a good working environment and behaviour, acting as an arbiter, mediator and facilitator in case of clashes or incidents.
* Attend and report the package and construction coordination meetings.
* Comply with on-site Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental (QHSE) requirements.
* Conform and lead the hand over of the OSS or parts of the OSS from contractors to the Operation & Maintenance Department.
* Ensure a correct control of the welfare facilities and services aboard the OSS.
* Ensure a correct POB control and distribution among contractors aboard the OSS.
* Ensure that the methodologies of all contractors constitute a coherent and optimised approach that meets all project, company, and legal requirements.
* Follow up the maintenance schedule and coordinate with the team and contractor the interventions.
* Lead SIMOPS planning.
* Lead the coordination meetings with contractors to assure the continuous and smooth delivery of services provided.
* Lead the OSS team coordination meetings.
* Liaison with package management and Construction teams and provide support as required.
* Organize and participate in ad-hoc toolbox talks, calls, safety meetings, campaigns and other that may be required by de daily development of the facts and the project.
* Prepare the internal and external Weekly and Monthly Report

Key Abilities
* Educated to Degree level in engineering electrical or control.
* Experience in fabrication and commissioning works.
* Fluent in English, capable to lead meetings and have negotiations in this language.
* Years of documented experience within the management of teams.
* Mandatory experience in offshore wind farm projects or similar, like offshore oil and gas.
* Years of documented leadership experience.
* Must have and renew for the duration of the assignation GWO training and OGUK offshore medical certificates. HUET will be positively valuated, but it is not mandatory.
* Must hold the local electrical qualifications at the highest level required for the job.
* Knowledge of basic maritime marine legislation like SOLAS.
* Strong communication and organisation skills.
* Strong customer orientation skills.
* Advance awareness of Health and Safety related to construction.
* Good IT skills in office suite tools, including e-mail management and Teams.
* Ability to handle and understand web-based applications for managing documentation, work permits, punch items, and similar items.
* Ability to manage many different contractors and sub-contractors.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
