Job description
Allen and York are excited to be working again with a growing Tier 2 construction company predominantly based in London, as they look to recruit a Senior Social Value Manager. Having recently partnered with a social value platform, they are now looking for someone with proven experience of social value, preferably working in the construction sector, to join the Sustainability Team and be heavily involved in the strategy and defining the processes and procedures required.
As you can imagine, it would be beneficial if you've had direct experience of doing this in a previous role and you will excel in engaging with different stakeholders, including the Community Liaison Officers, to ensure that social value is high on the agenda and is being considered and incorporated at every stage of the developments. In addition, you will be adept at writing the social value element for bids, engaging with clients to understand the needs and requirements and then deciding on the correct action. You will be comfortable working with the Social Value Portal, you may have been involved in writing a strategy around social value and providing and delivering training materials. It also expected you will have strong analytical skills will be happy to analyse data and present this to Senior Managers In an innovative and creative manner.
Working on multiple projects predominantly in central London, you will be adept at managing these simultaneously and prioritising your workload, and whilst there aren't any direct line reports at this stage, it is expected that this will change in time and for the right candidate, an opportunity to progress into a 'Head of' role.
Based in London, you will be required to be in the office and on site as in one is required but the company does offer hybrid working and this will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
