Allen & York are delighted to be working with an award winning creative consultancy as they look to recruit a UK based Sustainability Consultant to work on the company's US clients.
This is a new role in the sense that no one has been in this position in the UK before but given US clients prefer UK based Teams and sustainability thinking is more evolved in the UK, it's how they now wish to structure the Team. You'll be working on a combination of sustainability advisory, strategy and reporting and you'll have the support of the UK Team, who you will coordinate according to the projects on your desk.
You will have experience of engaging with clients to ascertain their requirements and then compiling and helping implement sustainability strategies and putting together sustainability reports. As such, you'll have done this in a previous capacity, either in a consultancy or agency environment. You will also possess excellent project management and time management skills, be confident and adept at liaising with clients, working to strict deadlines and have experience of working across a range of sectors (you may have expertise in one particular area).
You'll most likely have a formal sustainability qualification, be ambitious, professional, agile, adaptable and be able to push the boundaries and think of different ways of doing things.
Based in the UK, you'll be joining a successful company with an excellent reputation and a strong culture - something they've worked really hard on over the last few years and they've recently redefined their vision and values - and you'll be able to split your week between the office and home, the former of which is in London (if you wish to move to the US at some point in the future, this is an option).
As you'll be working with US companies, the working hours will be slightly different, most likely from 11am/12pm - 7pm/8pm but there's an element of flexibility here.
