Job description
Allen & York are working with a leading construction company to recruit a Sustainability Manager for their Midlands sites. You will be based at the Birmingham office and will be travelling to other sites in the area.
You will be covering all major sustainability matters, which will encompass lots of stakeholder engagement, and you will be responsible for the project's sustainability deliverables. You will bring your understanding of the different carbon scopes to lead on carbon emissions reduction to assist in reaching Net Zero targets, and demonstrate your ability to implement sustainability initiatives across various projects.
You must be experienced in BREEAM delivery (preferably BREEAM AP), and ideally in delivering LEED and WELL projects. Your practical experience on construction sites, in generating environment and sustainability data for construction projects, and in leading teams and projects in the space will be crucial, as will your relevant degree in environmental studies or similar.
Sites covered in this role will range from up to the Leeds area across to Peterborough, all easily accessible by road, with a car allowance to accommodate this. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands-on approach through visiting sites of the projects you will be working on, allowing you to excel in the role. Given your experience in the construction sector, you should also hold a valid CSCS card.
If you have relevant experience in the construction sector and would like to find out more about this role, please send your CV to Giorgia at gknox@allen-york.com to find out more.
