Allen & York are excited to be partnering with a pioneering advisory within the food industry as they search for a Sustainability Programme Manager to join a growing sustainability team. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of an exciting new change: developing environmental labelling standards in the food industry.
This organisation aims to engage with food and consumer goods businesses to help UK consumers make informed purchasing decisions, through understanding the environmental impacts of different products.
As Sustainability Programme Manager, your role is to lead the delivery of the Environmental Labelling programme. You will be confident, capable, ready to take your own initiative from previous sustainability experience, and be keen to step up your career and responsibilities in this field.
About the Role
This role will require the project managing, owning and delivery of specific projects within the programme, with a particular focus on lifecycle assessments, environmental data, and methodology. You will ensure annual targets are met within budget, report on monthly targets against KPIs, work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and in turn develop your own expertise to inform overall sustainability strategy.
About You
To succeed at this role, you will have previous industry experience working with or within the UK food or consumer goods industry within a sustainability capacity. You will have strong, demonstrable project management skills, be well organised, able to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing priorities. You will be a proactive, driven individual who is able to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to bring the programme forwards, and able to show excellent professional and interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
