Job description
Allen & York are excited to be partnering with a growing management consultancy who operate in the energy space as they look to hire a Sustainability Strategist/Account Manager to join their small but growing Team of ambitious, passionate and driven colleagues who are working with clients to advise and help them navigate the sustainability landscape and ensure they can forecast their future energy requirements.
The software platform helps businesses track carbon emissions, set targets and develop net zero roadmaps, helping to mitigate risks and forecast more accurately future energy requirements.
Within the business, there is a newly created Team, whose job it is to help businesses achieve more ambitious targets, increased savings and to decarbonise more effectively…and this is where you'll be based. You'll bring your determined, resilient and hard-working personality to the likeminded Team and be passionate about decarbonisation and always looking to push the boundaries. You'll be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with your colleagues, being client facing (presenting to some high profile and important clients) and managing a number of different projects at any one time. Some of these may be in solar, battery storage, Biomass, and Combined Heat and Power.
You'll hold a relevant degree (sustainability or business) combined with some relevant experience in an Account Management, sales, consultancy or marketing role and a track record of delivering results. Your communication skills will also be excellent (both written and verbal), as you'll be presenting the services in a compelling manner as well as contributing to marketing material and social media to raise the profile of the platform and the Team and attending conferences and events. You'll need to keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and industry trends to help guide the business on how to grow and adapt.
Based in the Southeast, in Surrey, you will be expected to be in the office one to two days a week and you can work the remainder from home if you wish, but they have another office in the Midlands so if this is preferable for you, this is an option.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work hard and progress within the business, given this is a strategic hire and you will have the ability to develop and shape this role to your strengths, so if you'd like to find out more, please contact Katie at kpereira@allen-york.com.
