Do to fantastic continued growth, expansion and diversification, an exciting opportunity for an experienced RTPI Planner to join the National Minerals and Waste team has become available.

As Technical Director / Principal consultant you will take a strategic role in developing the already established portfolio, helping to develop the minerals and waste planning capabilities Nationally. Critically this will offer the opportunity to work on projects throughout the UK and play a pivotal role in developing the direction of this area of the business. This role can be based out of any of the 20 UK wide offices.

In the role of Technical Director or Principal Consultant level you will be working alongside the Lead Minerals Technical Director. Due to long term levels of instructed work as the successful candidate you will need to have an appetite to embrace the established client base and project manage multidisciplinary large-scale projects.

You will draw on your experience as a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional town planning organisation for at least 5 years. As the successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Mineral and Waste legislation that will enable you to provide exceptional advice on the day to day challenges which clients face.

Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, as will a robust track record of project management, as you will be given the opportunity to drive the company's Minerals and Waste Planning offer, working together with other team members to capitalise on their extensive client list and further develop this area of the business.

Undertaking planning and environmental services across a wide range of disciplines; including for example noise, air quality, transport, landscape and ecology will be second nature to you. You should also be experienced in providing the lead advice in client meetings and presentations, and will play an important part in business development.
