Associate Director - Geo-Environmental

Job description

Associate Director - Geo-Environmental Consultant (Hybrid - Dublin / Cork)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Geo-Environmental professional to join a leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy as an Associate Director. This hybrid role, based in Dublin or Cork, offers the chance to lead a dynamic team delivering complex, high-impact projects across a range of sectors.

You will join one of the UK and Ireland's largest geotechnical and environmental teams, working across a portfolio that includes brownfield development, contaminated land investigations, renewable energy, hydrogeology, and landfill projects. This is a leadership position where your technical expertise, strategic insight, and people management skills will play a critical role in shaping the growth and direction of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight on contaminated land and hydrogeology projects
  • Manage the delivery of large-scale projects, including budgeting, resourcing, and client liaison
  • Review key technical documentation, including PSA, GQRA, and DQRA reports
  • Lead business development initiatives and contribute to strategic growth planning
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development
  • Support tender submissions and manage framework agreements

About You:

  • You hold a BSc in Geology or a related environmental discipline; an MSc is advantageous
  • You bring relevant experience, ideally in contaminated land or hydrogeology
  • You are ideally chartered or working towards chartership with a recognised professional body
  • You possess strong report review, project management, and communication skills
  • You have a proven track record in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Experience in geotechnical investigations is beneficial but not essential

This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career, bringing technical excellence and commercial awareness to a respected and forward-thinking organisation. You'll work in a supportive, growth-oriented environment where innovation is encouraged, and your contributions are valued.

If you're ready to lead impactful projects, develop client relationships, and shape the future of geo-environmental services in Ireland, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary, with a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, flexible benefits, life assurance, and more.
  • Opportunities for regular training and development to support your career growth.
  • A supportive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.
