Director of Ecology
£Competitive, Remote (across the UK)
Allen & York are excited to be working with a high-profile, leading ecology consultancy, providing specialist advice and services to clients in the private and commercial sectors. We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Ecology with extensive consultancy experience to join their team.
You'll have comprehensive and wide-ranging experience of developing and implementing a strategic vision, providing leadership and guidance and fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture. With strong technical expertise, you'll be highly skilled in overseeing the management and delivery of ecology projects, leading ecological assessments and surveys, and have extensive experience of working on projects involving Development Consent Orders. An excellent communicator, you'll be able to provide guidance on relevant legislation and regulations, ensuring projects comply with environmental standards.
You will need to hold a Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related field, preferably with a Masters or PhD. Already working at Director level or similar, you'll be commercially minded, with the ability to build relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders. A relevant professional certification, such as Chartered Ecologist status would be advantageous in this role.
