EHS Advisor

Job description

Our client is a FTSE global manufacturer working across 5 continents and is a world leader in its field working with industry sectors such as Food and Beverage, Brewing and distilling, Hospitals and Oil and gas.

They are now looking for a SHE Advisor to work on their site near Gloucester to support operations and provide advice and work with staff across the site enabling smooth operations at all times. Reporting to the EHS Manager, the role will work as an integral part of the SHE team assisting with audits and the risk assessment programme as well as working with the team to ensure that management systems such as ISO 45001, 14001 and 50001 are maintained.

The role will require individuals to be proactive in their approach as the site is large and complex and has a number of functions including, logistics, engineering, assembly areas and welding.

Candidates should have a track record working as an SHE Advisor, ideally with some energy experience and be looking for a role that will expand your skills working in a challenging and complex environment. Ideally candidates will have experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar and be comfortable with working in a sizable, busy setting.

It is expected that candidates will be qualified to NEBOSH Certificate, ideally Diploma or working towards and have experience working with management systems. A track record of engendering buy-in from staff within a business and a proven ability of working effectively with people and building strong working relationships is essential for this role.

Computer literate with good knowledge of legislation and experience of risk assessment and audit is beneficial.

Their office is based in Gloucestershire and the expectation is that candidates will be on site 5 days a week so candidates will need to be within a commutable distance of the site.
