Allen & York are delighted to be working with Farnborough International to assist in appointing their Group Health, Safety and Environment Manager to ensure the safety across Farnborough International's events venue and site as well as supporting the parent company ADS.
This role represents an opportunity to work with a world leading events management and conference organisation to deliver and ensure HS&E is at the forefront throughout the business across a range of activities including high profile events such as the Farnborough International Airshow.
As a key member of the management team the role will ensure healthy systems are in place with a robust audit program and an ongoing need for creation of a safety culture to help bring about a 'safety first' mentality. This will involve maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business and being the face of safety for the company.
Candidates will need to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a role which is demanding but highly rewarding with a variety of challenges being presented during busier times in the business. The role will require a working knowledge and experience of co-ordinating and managing contractors, requiring a high level of technical competency and understanding.
As with all roles working in the events and entertainment industry there is a diversity of work and risks that present themselves during the course of a year and therefore candidates need to be proactive in nature and able to operate at both a corporate and shop floor level.
Candidates should have a NEBOSH Diploma and/or be working towards GradIOSH status with a working knowledge or qualification in Environment.
