Location: Worminghall (nr. Aylesbury/Oxford/Thame)

Opportunity to join a well established Land Survey team which provides Geomatic surveying throughout the country, offering experience in a wide range of industries for topographical surveying services. The team manages various surveying contracts in specific detail for a range of clients including minerals/waste operators, residential/commercial developers, Civil/Petrochemical/Power engineering firms and more. The team prides itself on understanding the importance of the client's requirements for site surveys, setting out, and design, providing consistency with its professional AutoCAD capability.

Due to continued commercial success and a busy forward workload, they are looking to appoint an experienced land surveyor to be based in its Worminghall (near Oxford/Aylesbury/Thame) who can manage and carryout land surveys predominately within the Midlands and South of the UK

Due to the nature of the work and sites visited, the role will require regular travel throughout the South East of England and potentially further afield and this may therefore mean that hours worked vary in accordance with the locations.


The successful candidate will be required to undertake topographical surveys on a variety of sites using Leica Total stations and Leica GPS survey equipment; and using LSS and AutoCAD for associated design and reporting.

The successful candidate will be required to work both independently and within a team on projects from start to finish showing initiative and responsibility to deliver surveys to a high standard. Problem solving & mathematical skills are essential as LSS and AutoCAD are SLRs primary software for surveying

Person Specification

  • A recognised Land Surveying qualification and appropriate or equivalent, and knowledge of topographical, building and setting-out surveys.
  • Capable of undertaking topographical surveys and associated volumetric calculations using Leica Total Station and GPS equipment.
  • Experienced user of LSS and AutoCAD to formulate reports and designs.
