Allen & York are proud to be working on a really exciting opportunity for a sustainability professional to join an established, dedicated and passionate global Sustainability Team who are making real strides in the sector and are seen as leading the way in comparison with their competitors.
Joining a progressive, international technology company based in Southern Ireland, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager who drives the design for sustainable materials, engineering and software to provide expertise on Life Cycle Assessment. You'll know what data to extract, to create useable libraries in the LCA system, report on figures and face business groups and decision makers on cost and availability of materials, amongst other things.
You may well come from a consultancy background where you have been focusing on LCA and you'll be a competent user of the LCA softwares, namely GaBi, Umberto and Simapro. The company currently uses a sustainability consultancy to provide LCA expertise but in line with the company and Team growing, they now want to bring the service in house so it's a fantastic opportunity to make it your own and to lead and grow a Team of sustainability data scientists in time. You'll also research new and existing technologies, materials and processes to see what you can do to improve on these.
You'll have an authentic passion for sustainability, an ability to manage people, combined with the strong technical skills required and you'll need an entrepreneurial spirit. In return, you'll be awarded a huge amount of autonomy and the ability to engage with all areas of the business, as well as being involved in evolving the role - a truly unique opportunity!
Based in Southern Ireland, the ideal scenario is for you to be based here however for exceptional candidates with a willingness to travel frequently, you could be based elsewhere in Europe (subject to country).
