Principal Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant

Job description

Principal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant
£40,000 - £55,000
UK based (remote/home working)

Allen & York are excited to be working with a leading global environmental consultancy, supporting clients and regulators across the world to mitigate environmental impacts.

Our client is looking for an ambitious, motivated, Principal EIA Consultant to join the existing team, working on projects across a diverse mix of markets and geographies, both onshore and offshore.

The successful candidate will join at an exciting time, as the Environmental Planning Division continues to grow, supporting a pipeline of renewable energy, coastal and active travel projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering Environmental Statements, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and other environmental consenting documents.

You'll need to hold a BSc or MSc degree in a relevant subject such as Environmental Science and have membership of a relevant professional institute. You'll be able to demonstrate your extensive technical and project management experience across a range of infrastructure and development sectors, with experience within the renewables industry as a consultant or with a developer. A subject matter expert in the delivery of EIA work, including screening, scoping and end reporting, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of the UK and Irish policy and regulatory framework for EIA and Strategic Environmental Assessment. An excellent communicator, you'll have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively.

Additional EIA technical topic skills, such as Planning, Landscape & Visual, Carbon Accounting, Cultural Heritage, Noise & Vibration, Air Quality or Soils would be advantageous to this role.

In return for your specialist skills and experience, you'll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, together with the opportunity to grow your career with a consultancy which prides itself in creating a working environment which values and recognises each individual.
