Senior Ecologist
£35,000 - £45,000
Essex, UK (hybrid)
Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.
Our client is looking for a passionate Senior Ecologist to join the Ecology team.
The successful candidate will manage and deliver a variety of projects and protected species surveys, from project inception through to completion.
You will hold a relevant degree in ecology and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. With experience in a similar role, you'll be able to demonstrate your success in managing multifaceted projects. You'll have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ecology related legislation and policy and its practical application in a UK context. With a broad knowledge of ecological survey/assessment methods, including good habitat survey and classification skills in a wide range of environments, you'll have strong species identification skills across a range of taxonomic groups. You'll have experience of providing technical assistance and training to less experienced colleagues or non-specialist staff. An excellent communicator, you'll be self-motivated and organised, with the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role with access to your own vehicle.
