Senior Environmental Consultant- Major Permissions & Permitting
£50k-£70k Bristol, UK
Are you an experienced Environmental Permitting consultant, with knowledge of the Energy sector and looking for a new Challenge?
We're looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant- Major Permissions & Permitting to support clients across Defence, Industrial, Nuclear New Build, Energy Generating Organisations, Decommissioning Sites and Next Generation Technologies.
The role
You will have experience in one or more of the following-
- Environmental Permitting for Energy Sector projects including:
- Water discharges.
- Installations / combustion.
- Radioactive substances (standard rules or bespoke).
- Environmental Safety Case (nuclear or conventional).
- RSR Environmental Principles.
- Environmental Management Systems within a Nuclear Site Licensed Company.
- Marine Licensing via the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
- The 2008 Planning Act & associated Development Consent Order (DCO) process for new nuclear projects.
- The planning application process, for new nuclear projects, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act.
Requirements
Successful Applicants will have-
- Familiarity with the role and development of environmental management systems, and management arrangements, to support applications for Environmental Permits and other major permissions.
- An ability to conduct numerical analysis, applying creative problem-solving skills, and presenting to senior executives, high ranking civil servants, regulators and industry leaders.
- Demonstrable skills in effective collaboration and experience of working as part of a dynamic team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to influence effectively.
