Senior Hydroecologist (Freshwater) - up to £38k

Remote/Homebased UK

Are you an Experienced Freshwater Ecologist looking to make the next step?

Our client is looking for a Senior Hydroecologist (Freshwater) to join their established team that delivers cutting-edge collection, analysis and interpretation of freshwater hydro-ecology data.

The role

The position will be varied and duties include:

• Be able to talk knowledgeably about APEM's general goals and objectives.
• To manage and deliver project work on time, within budget and to high technical quality.
• Data analysis and reporting.
• Input into aspects of tender/proposal preparation including costing and writing of technical sections.
• Client liaison, including site visits as required.
• To carry out project specific fieldwork as required.
• To provide mentoring, support and guidance to consultant grade scientists.
• To produce high quality work within tight time and cost constraints.
• To identify new project opportunities with existing and new clients.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant subject and at least 3-4 years' professional experience
• Knowledge of policy, legislation and issues relating to freshwater ecosystems or water resources.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in delivering projects within commercial consultancy, industry or regulatory environment.
• A valid driving licence.
