Job description
We are recruiting for a Site Investigation Engineer, to join an established Geo-Environment team of 25 in the North West, who provide ground investigation, geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy services for a broad range of private and public sector clients.
As Site Investigation Engineer, you will supervise geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations, largely in the North of England and with some sites across the UK. You will also be offered mentoring and your training and development will be tailored bespoke to fit accordingly with your own personal goals, providing you with the specific support needed to reach your potential.
Requirements
- Our ideal candidate will hold a first degree in geology or similar and will have experience of ground investigation, including scoping, set-up, logging, supervision, laboratory scheduling, groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
* You will be willing to spend much of your time on site, mostly within the north of England and often within 1 to 2 hours of the office based in Leeds. On occasion sites will be further afield and may require overnights stays, with all expenses covered.
* This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and you will be fully IT literate such that you can write clear, concise factual reports.
* You must have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental management, as applied to ground investigation.
* You will be a team player with strong social, interpersonal and communication skills.
You will ideally have the following:
- CSCS card relevant to the position
- SMSTS training
- Cat and Jenny training
- First Aid training
- full, preferably clean, driving license
