Sustainability Advisor/Senior Sustainability Advisor

Job description

Allen & York are working with one of the leading housebuilders in the South East as they look to recruit two Sustainability Advisors to join their Team.

The sustainability function is becoming even more important in the construction process and is now being included at the design stage, right through to completion and we need two enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working sustainability professionals to join the established Team and work on high end residential projects in the South East. One role is to cover sites in Central London and the second is based in the Home Counties to the west of London but both will be based in the London offices.

You'll need to be confident liaising with contractors to educate, inform and influence, at all stages through the construction process and help to deliver the new sustainability strategy that has been developed, with a target to become a net zero business by 2040.

Working on not just environmental issues, but social and economic impacts, you will be a key point of contact for the business, working across multiple departments and supporting project teams. You will however, be supported by your Manager and the wider network of sustainability advisors and managers.

Each week will be different so good for those who like variety, but typically you'll be attending the sites you've been assigned to, ensuring operations are carried out in line with best practice, gathering data for the purposes of reporting, looking at ways to reduce waste and working with the Marketing Team to ensure a compelling narrative on sustainability successes. You may be required to conduct training to non-sustainability professionals, attending forums and events to keep up to date with new developments.

With a possibility to work a couple of days from home, this is a super opportunity whether you're already working in the construction sector or indeed in another sector where you can transfer your skills. You'll have strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to change people's behaviours and previous construction experience would be beneficial but it's not essential.

So, to find out more about this super opportunity, please contact Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
