Job description
Allen & York are delighted to be working exclusively with busy and growing airport in the South East of England as they now look to recruit a Sustainability Performance Executive to join their growing team of sustainability professionals.
You will be responsible for leading on the management of the sustainability database and you'll be the main point of contact for all environmental data enquiries, both internally and externally. It will be your responsibility to ensure the quality, accuracy and verification of data is provided in a timely manner on subjects like carbon, energy, waste, water and air quality, utilising the data to come up with trends and to advise actions. In addition, you'll be modelling sustainability data to predict future trends in performance and ascertain areas for improvement, specifically around carbon emissions. It goes without saying that your Microsoft Excel and analysis skills will be second to none and you'll be able to relay this information the non-technical professionals. The data will then and be used to prepare annual reports to the company to plan and develop best practice for the airport.
You will have some experience of working in a data-driven role, ideally within the sustainability sector but not necessarily and a relevant degree in an environmental or science subject would be beneficial but again is not essential. Ideally you'll be used to data modelling and predicting future trends. You'll be extremely well organised with strong communication skills, be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Based in the South East of England you will be required to attend the offices about two days a week so you do need to be in the vicinity so you can engage with the Sustainability Team and with various departments within the business.
