Environmental Compliance Manager

Job description

Environmental Compliance Manager - EU Extended Producer Responsibility
Location:
Homebased (UK or EU)
Salary:
Up to £45,000, depending on experience

Are you a regulatory expert with a passion for environmental compliance and deep knowledge of EU Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)? We are currently partnering with a fast-growing, international environmental consultancy to find an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to join their specialist team.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse, global client base and play a central role in delivering high-impact compliance and advisory services across a range of regulatory frameworks. The role is fully home-based, offering flexibility alongside the chance to work with leading names in the producer responsibility landscape.

The Role:

As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of international clients, guiding them through complex EPR requirements including WEEE, batteries, and packaging regulations. You'll lead the delivery of compliance projects, manage key accounts, and stay on top of changing regulations across the EU and globally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering external compliance and consultancy services to international producers
  • Assessing Extended Producer Obligations and preparing quotations for service delivery
  • Project managing new services and overseeing data reporting, registration, and invoicing workflows
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring high-quality, timely support
  • Tracking regulatory changes and contributing to service development and internal tools

About You:

We're looking for someone with experience in environmental compliance or a related regulatory role, ideally with a focus on EU EPR. You'll bring excellent communication and project management skills, along with a confident, client-focused approach.

Key requirements include:

  • Solid working knowledge of WEEE, batteries, and packaging regulations (EMEA experience essential)
  • Experience managing international clients and compliance reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and high computer literacy
  • Degree educated in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science, Law, or similar)
  • Additional languages are a plus, particularly within the EU
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a remote setting

Interested?

If you're ready to take the next step in your compliance career and want to join a forward-thinking consultancy making an impact in environmental regulation, we'd love to hear from you.
