Group Head of Health a Safety (Leisure and Hospitality sector)
A leading hospitality business based in the South of England are looking for a Head of Safety, who will manage a team, across multiple sites.
As an experienced Safety professional with strong knowledge of the Hospitality sector, this is your chance to join an establish business with a long-standing history, one that is currently experiencing unprecedented growth. This is your chance to work closely with senior executives of a well-recognised brand, shaping the future of the Safety culture within the organisation.
In this role you will draw on your prior health and safety experience from a food related, multisite organisation to create robust policies and strategies, this will include managing risk identification within the business, maintaining & reviewing policies & procedures, providing guidance on safety-based training, be the point of contact for authorities & external bodies and to provide line management for the safety team.
As the successful candidate you will be educated to degree or similar level, with at least a level 2 if not level 3 food Hygiene qualification, along with being GradIOSH or above qualified.
In this role, as head of the Safety Team, you will be expected to also develop and maintain an effective HACCP system, as well as be able to define food safety hazards and hygiene risks and implement process to prevent them, you should also have a good understanding how food law applies to the company's premises.
Flexibility around home location for the right candidate you are expected to be with the southern counties, you will be require to attend head office once a week, along with site visits as necessary as part of the role.
