Job description
Want to make a real impact in Sustainability?
Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the leading global passenger transport providers who are passionate about and dedicated to sustainability. They are now looking for an ambitious Sustainability Manager to join the business and work across the organisation to implement a range of initiatives in line with climate change targets and social value issues.
Based in the South East (you need to be able to access the London office 2 to 3 days a week and you can work the remainder from home), you will be excited by the opportunity to work independently and with an enormous amount of autonomy in a company with a relatively flat structure to really drive forward best practice across a number of issues.
You'll have a strong sense of initiative, be a self-starter with a can-do attitude as you will be engaging in a wide range of corporate sustainability initiatives and it is anticipated that you will welcome the opportunity to be developing your skills and knowledge in the role. You'll possess excellent written and analytical skills as you will be involved with sustainability reporting and related comms and you'll have to analyse data sets and know what data to extract, what it means and what you can do with it. You will represent the company at conferences and events and you'll also be expected to identify trends and find opportunities for the business to impact positively from a sustainability perspective. As you can imagine, you'll also be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and have strong organisational skills.
In terms of technical experience, you will ideally have a broad range of expertise in some of the following: climate change, carbon footprinting, ESG, community involvement, reporting or sustainability strategy and you could come from either an inhouse background or be looking to make a move form related environmental consultancy.
This is a really exciting time to join the company and they're keen for someone to come on board and consolidate existing efforts and drive forward new, innovative projects. So, if this sounds like you and you'd like to find out more, call Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
