Project Principal - Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineering

We are recruiting for a project Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer at Principal or potentially Technical Manager level, for a key and permanent position within our client's engineering family. This is an important hire which offers the opportunity for a technical professional with comprehensive ability to manage an established and growing team, as well as lead technical project teams and collaborate with wider design teams and clients. The role
The successful candidate should have robust technical abilities, with a strong sense of customer service and project management experience. The candidate should have a comprehensive ability to lead technical project teams and collaborate with wider design teams and clients.
The candidate should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish, maintain and enhance client relationships and secure new and repeat business.
The candidate would preferably have experience in a range of sectors, including industrial, commercial and residential/leisure developments, infrastructure and rail, providing robust, technically sound and cost-effective solutions to Clients throughout.
Requirements
- A good first degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering is required.
- An MSc in Geotechnics or Engineering Geology or a related subject would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Candidates are expected to have at least 8 years' experience and be chartered/near chartered.
- Knowledge of Network Rail standards and experience of working as CRE would be advantageous.
- Full Driving Licence required.
