This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's most progressive and rapidly growing environmental consultancies. As part of a large UK infrastructure organisation the company has an order book to offer opportunity for the future in both depth and diversity.
This role, based flexibly across the central belt of Scotland will be the regional lead for the Scotland and Northern Ireland region and manage a team of Environment and Sustainability consultants providing strategic direction for engineering outcomes across the region.
Some key responsibilities will include;
- Take the lead on all environmental & sustainability requirements for the regional major projects.
- Identify, forecast and resource environmental and sustainability project requirements in relation to both the design and construction programmes.
- Coordinate and plan the delivery of all environmental & sustainability deliverables and technical reporting required as part of planning and licence applications; utilising and managing both the in-house team and external sub-contractors.
- Undertake the role of Environmental & Sustainability Lead for the project providing advice and direction to the environmental team as well as the design teams and Principal Contractors to ensure compliance with legislation, licencing and planning commitments.
Candidates should be degree qualified in an Environmental or related subject with a proven track record working at a senior level in a professional consultancy with experience preferably in large infrastructure projects with strong working knowledge of Scottish and Northern Ireland legislation.
Full Membership of IEMA will be necessary with Chartered status in a relevant and related institute.
