Job description
Allen & York are delighted to be partnering with one of the most prestigious and highly recognised landmarks in London as they look to recruit a Sustainability Manager to join the Team and help to embed sustainability into the business. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious, independent sustainability professional to join a progressive organisation who operate within a well-established community and who are bought in to and excited by the addition of this post. Reporting into the Director of Building & Facilities, this is a chance for you to take the role and really mould it around you, your strengths and what you believe is important to the establishment.
With an existing sustainability strategy in place and a Net Zero target of 2040, you have a framework in place but you'll be able to influence this, so you'll bring your experience of having developed policies and procedures, collecting and analysing data and then working with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop a range of sustainability initiatives around energy efficiency, renewable energy, liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, providing training and effectively embedding sustainability within all areas.
Based in London, they operate a hybrid working model and there is also flexibility with regards start and finish times and they offer a competitive salary and benefits package so it would suit someone who's perhaps been working as part of a Team but now feel they're ready to step up and take ownership.
You will have a relevant environmental degree and be a Member of IEMA or the Energy Institute, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a can do attitude and appreciation of the importance of networking and working as part of a Team.
If you have experience of working in the live events sector, that would be advantageous but it's not essential…what's more important is your attitude, ambition and ability to use your initiative and technical expertise to help drive forward the sustainability agenda.
So, if you think you have the skills and experience required to make a success of this role, please contact kpereira@allen-york.com to find out more.
