Allen & York is delighted to be working exclusively with a global manufacturing company, headquartered in the US, who supply the aerospace and defence sector, as they now look to recruit a European Regulatory & Compliance Officer with extensive experience of environmental sustainability to help them establish robust systems to ensure they comply with European environmental compliance laws and regulations.
This is a new role for the organisation and the emphasis on the role is ESG reporting and development and it's a fantastic opportunity for you to come in with a carte balance and mould the role around you and your expertise. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing a strategy for Europe (working with your US counterpart) centred around CSRD, but also including waste packaging, labelling, energy management and due diligence. It's expected you'll be adept at implementing compliance programmes and adapting to the Group structure.
Reporting to the Senior European Legal Counsel, you'll be able to demonstrate your strong project management skills, excellent stakeholder engagement skills as you'll be liaising with a range of people, you'll be comfortable working independently and using your initiative and you'll have sound analytical and report writing skills. This is a very hands on role, with a strategic oversight and there's a lot of opportunity for you to develop into the role and make it your own.
Based in the East Midlands, this is a stand-alone role and they offer hybrid working, but you will live close enough to base yourself from one of four offices in the Midlands, with a presence in Leicester once or twice a week and there will be occasional travel to Europe and the US.
