Design Lead-Flood, Risk and Coastal

Job description

Design Lead - Flood, Risk and Coastal
Competitive salary
Redhill, UK

Allen & York are excited to be working with an award-winning, dynamic consultancy, specialising in delivering functional infrastructure and lasting environmental and social legacies.

Our client is looking for a self-motivated Design Lead to support their growing Flood, Coast & Maritime (FCM) team, with particular emphasis on leading large engineering projects or supporting a portfolio of projects.

You'll need to hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or similar, together with an industry recognised professional chartered qualification. As an experienced Chartered Civil Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and technical skills. With extensive experience of undertaking and co-ordinating design within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will have the ability to ensure consistent quality and execution of engineering projects. An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you'll have the skills to guide and lead an engineering team, performing a mentor role for other engineering managers. Commercially minded, you'll have experience of building up costs for production of engineering deliverables, predominately under the NEC suite of contracts.

In return for your specialist skills and experience, you'll have the opportunity to grow your career and work with a great team with exciting plans for expansion. With a competitive renumeration package on offer, you'll be joining a forward-thinking consultancy with a strong emphasis on empowering their employees and creating an excellent work-life balance.
