Our client is a global engineering and design organisation supplying both the private and public sector at the cutting edge of design and technology, employing some of the most forward thinking individuals to remain the best at what they do.

This new opportunity, based in Essex, will manage Environmental and H&S on the site providing technical Environmental and Health & Safety advice and support ensuring standards are met and exceeded in line with the overall strategic objectives of the company.

This role has an equivalent emphasis between Environment and Health & Safety and will require candidates to have experience working in an EHS focussed role to help deliver both the Environment and H&S agenda.

Vital to success in this role will be the effective communication and relationships with key stakeholders in the business to deliver a positive and effective safety culture which is embedded throughout the business.

The role will require the ability to take a holistic view of the business to identify areas for improvement and work with individuals to understand, educate and implement effective procedures for positive change where required.

A track record of success, working with management systems such as ISO 45001 and 14001 will be advantageous, as would an internal or lead auditor qualification.

A strong track record of working in with Environmental issues and safety as a combined role is required as will a relevant Environmental qualification, ideally Diploma level and membership such as IEMA with a NEBOSH qualification.
