Forestry Portfolio Analyst

Based in the London office as the Forestry Portfolio Analyst will report to the portfolio director, you will be solely dedicated to the Asset Management activities of the Forestry Assets.

In this role of Forestry Portfolio Analyst you will oversee and work with the 3rd Party Asset Manager across the portfolio to manage the forestry assets and develop processes to enable the efficient flow of information from the Forest Managers to enable Portfolio management along with preparation of monthly reporting on all assets to highlight key risks and issues across the portfolio.

Ideally you will have 1-2 years in Forestry Asset Management, and will draw on your strong management skills and analytical experience to manage multiple short and long lead time workstreams in parallel, while Preparing and managing the BMF Asset Management section of the Quarterly BMF board report.

As Part of this role you will be expected to complete site visits of the forestry assets with the 3rd Party Asset Manager as applicable. Develop a schedule of periodic site visits to complete on an annual basis and attend site as required as any issues arise across the portfolio. Visiting timber mills located near to the assets will also be required as necessary.

Day to day you will be working with 3rd Party Asset Manager/FSG finance team to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and that all income due from Timber sales is collected, as well as reviewing budgets with the 3rd Party Asset Manager and work with UK Finance to prepare and monitor Budget vs. Actuals/P&L/Management Accounts.

It will be your responsibility to liaise and develop processes with the Investment team for the handover of newly acquired assets, along with liaising with Forest Managers as applicable. You will also Liaise with neighbouring land owners and any other related stake holders as required.
