Allen & York are proud to be working together with Malvern Panalytical to assist in recruiting their Global Health & Safety Director. Malvern Panalytical, part of the Spectris Group, work at the forefront of science and technology improving the very fabric of everyday life in the food we eat, the buildings we work in and the medicines that maintain our health.
Based in the picturesque town of Malvern, the company, since its merger in 2016, has demonstrated continual growth and is set to double in size over the next 5 years. The company operates and has interests across the world working in countries such as Netherlands, Germany, France, China and South Korea.
The purpose of this role is to strategically drive the improvement of the safety culture across the global business, understanding and appreciating cultural contrasts and variances by working closely with regional safety business partners and key stakeholders. As part of this role there will be a responsibility to liaise via regular meetings with the Spectris Group to ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing.
A culture of open and transparent communication is required to build strong relationships and a proactive safety culture that is robust and sustainable for the future.
To be considered for this unique and challenging opportunity, candidates should have a demonstrable background of managing a global function within Health & Safety working cross continents and cultures. It is not necessary to have a scientific background, but candidates should be able to demonstrate flexibility of working within differing environments which should include manufacturing ideally.
Candidates are likely to be degree educated and have a track record of working across a diverse business in a senior management position. A Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards, candidates will be able to demonstrate exceptional experience influencing and affecting change within a business in an effective and collaborative manner.
