Health & Safety Manager

Job description

Excellent opportunity to work with a prominent manufacturing and engineering client based in the Northwest between Manchester and Liverpool. The client work as part of a network in the UK supplying customers every day with a logistics network that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

This role is to manage and co-ordinate all Health & Safety activities on site to ensure standards are maintained and initiatives for improvement are instigated and communicated with key stakeholders on site.
Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manager with a dotted line to the General Manager on site the role will play a central role in providing advice, training and expert opinion with regular audits in line with the group activities across the UK.

The site is a 24-hour operation so there will be occasional support as required outside of regular working hours with occasional hybrid working available.

Candidates should have experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment managing a site and able to communicate effectively at management and shop floor building strong working relationships.
Candidates will ideally have NEBOSH Diploma working towards CMIOSH with a auditing experience and or a Lead/Internal auditing qualification as well as some knowledge of COSHH.
