Allen & York are proud to be working with a business close to us on the South Coast of England as they look to secure a Health & Safety Manager for a 9-12-month maternity cover on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week.
As the Health & Safety Manager professional in the Team, your experience of ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation will be essential, as will your experience of designing, implementing and maintaining effective systems working as an integral member of the management team, driving objectives and performance across the business.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing risk and ensuring robust contingency plans are in place working closely with key stakeholders throughout the business to champion safety at all levels.
The role reports directly to the Operations Director and will require someone who is familiar with liaising at a senior level, able to work with budgets, is proactive in their approach and has a proven track record working across a multi-faceted business which is fast moving.
Your ability to multitask will definitely be required as you'll be working on multiple projects at any one time, driving forward the Health & Safety strategy, advising other parts of the business and you'll be the face of the business at relevant Technical Meetings and events.
Easily accessible by road and rail, the role may be suitable for those slightly further away from Southampton, which is where the role is based (you'll need to be on site for some of the week but there will be the opportunity to work from home as well when possible).
