Head of SHEQ

This is an excellent opportunity to join a prominent utilities and infrastructure contractor based in the northern home counties and working throughout the South East of England with a prominent utilities customer base.

This role, heading up SHEQ, will be to lead the function across the organisation setting and leading the strategy as well as establishing the safety and Wellbeing function for the business to inform and educate as well as creating a strong culture within the business.

The role will manage a team and will drive the ISO Management systems audit programme for continuous improvement in addition to building and maintaining strong communication lines across the business both on site and at senior management level.

Part of this role will be to review and manage existing processes and procedures with a view to achieving the best possible standards across the business, working closely with key stakeholders across the business ensuring appropriate training is in place.

Candidates will require experience of working in a construction, ideally infrastructure or utilities, heading up and managing teams to with a proven track record of delivery and also managing a certification process for ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001.

Candidates should be based in the Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire area and be prepared for travel throughout the South East region. Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards is required with experience or ideally an IEMA qualification.
