Lead EIA Manager (Offshore Wind)- up to £60k
Remote UK
Our client is looking for a Lead EIA Manager to join their Consenting and Marine team. They provide high quality environmental and planning advice to blue chip companies and have been involved in some of the largest and most exciting development projects in the UK energy sector, helping businesses with site selection and feasibility studies, navigating legislation, and identifying ways to mitigate environmental impact.
This role will act as first point of contact for a variety of clients, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver consent related works.
The role
The position will be varied and duties include:
- To oversee the delivery of consent related workstreams for offshore wind projects (including delivery of EIA/HRA)
- To manage internal & subcontractor teams
- To advise clients on key consenting risks and work with technical teams to find effective solutions to manage or mitigate these risks
- To develop and maintain an effective and a highly engaged team
Requirements
- A degree (preferably MSc), in a relevant Offshore/Marine science discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience in marine science and/or renewables
- An established track record of providing technical assessments, EIA and/or HRA for major offshore infrastructure development projects in the UK (in offshore renewables or other marine development sector)
- Working knowledge of the EIA and / or HRA process and the technical assessments underpinning offshore consenting work
- Chartered member of a relevant professional organisation (or working towards such accreditation)
