UK Managing Director
Allen & York are proud to be working with Peterson Projects & Solutions UK/MEP who are a specialist consulting provider with years of environment and sustainability industry experience backed by an international group of experts. Peterson Global have operations in Europe, with an extensive and impressive international client base as well as an excellent reputation. All under a private ownership model offering autonomous management and the benefit of partnering with internal colleagues in their wider office network.
An opportunity now opens up to join Peterson Projects & Solutions UK/MEP to lead their UK existing operations and developing service lines across sustainability including sustainable sourcing, regenerative agriculture & social impact. The successful candidate will spearhead the business's efforts in the UK market, defining business strategy, cultivating client relationships and driving the sales and execution of sustainability and environmental consulting services. Responsibilities include strategizing, identifying key decision-makers, planning commercial execution, managing client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of services. In addition to commercial development, the role involves participating in trade fairs and networking events to position the business's sustainability services in the local market.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess effective communication skills in English, a strong client focus, and experience in commercial business development within the UK/European market. Team management skills, negotiation proficiency, and a goal-oriented mindset are essential. Technical knowledge in a relevant aspect of sustainability such as climate change, ESG, and CSR, along with the ability to adapt to changing environments, are crucial for success in this role.
It is expected to hold a bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, or related fields. Master's degrees or advanced studies in sustainability or related areas are advantageous. Certifications such as Project Management (PMP) are a plus. The ideal candidate will bring prior working experience in environmental or sustainability fields, with expertise in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, resilience, and social/community services. Additional experience in the food and agriculture sector is a valuable asset.
