Allen & York are delighted to be working with an award-winning, ambitious food business who are looking for a passionate, values-driven CSR Manager to join their Team and help to drive forward their sustainability strategy and policy.

Working for a dynamic and agile organisation with a real family feel and supportive environment, where the sustainability and CSR agenda is integral and fully embedded within the organisation, this is a sustainability manager's dream scenario! Your experience of sustainability and ethical practices and policy will be required, together with developing strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Constantly learning and developing your craft, you'll attend conferences, events and webinars to ensure you're at the forefront of supply chain and sustainability issues/best practice.

Given the sector you'll be working in, someone with a marine background would be ideally suited but it's not essential...what is, is a 'can-do' attitude coupled with a relevant degree and Masters. Combined with your excellent communication and organisational skills, an ability to influence and persuade others and present to a variety of audiences is required. You will be working with a coordinator so previous management skills would be beneficial but are not a deal breaker.

You'll get the opportunity to travel when all restrictions are lifted and it's fully safe to do so, giving you the chance to meet suppliers, factories, fisheries and relevant bodies, enabling you to build close relations with them and monitor sustainable practices.

Based in the South East in Surrey, the offices are just a three minute walk from the train station which connects the town to routes from London and there's onsite parking as well for those who live in the area. With some of the Team now back in the office (with the introduction of numerous Covid-secure measures to make them feel safe and comfortable in the offices), they now operate a flexible working policy with one day from home now a standard feature and a competitive salary and benefits package.
