Allen & York is delighted to be working with an innovative, progressive and creative consultancy who are now looking to hire a Director of Sustainability Transformation and Activation to join the business and work alongside other experienced Directors to create compelling and exciting sustainability strategies and help companies tell their stories.

This is a fantastic time to join the business as the Team you'd manage is growing and new clients are coming on board all the time. Your credibility in the sector will be proven by your strong technical expertise in sustainability, having worked with companies across a range of sectors to implement and deliver their sustainability strategies and you'll be comfortable navigating the communications landscape to unlock sustainability opportunities. In conjunction with your technical skills, your leadership experience will also be essential, getting to know the Consultants so you can successfully allocate resources, support them technically and personally and help to further build the collaborative atmosphere. You will be known in the sector and be seen as a thought leader and be well connected. Part of your role will be to present at conferences and events and engage with new clients, putting proposals together and identifying opportunities for new collaborations.

This role would really suit someone with previous agency experience, who understands how the different departments within agencies work together and who can adapt to the fast pace but you're welcome to apply if you come from a consultancy background. It goes without saying that your project management and client facing skills will be exceptional but you'll also be adept at nurturing Team members and adapting your leadership style to individuals.

You'll have a can do attitude and be inquisitive, asking questions and not taking no for an answer. The culture of the organisation is to push the boundaries, leveraging creativity to accelerate progress.

With a super culture which has been heavily invested in, my client has a strong vision and values and a flexible working pattern. Based in the UK, you'll need to be able to get to the office in Central London two days a week, then work from home two days and keep one day a week for events/client meetings.
