Holding a unique market position our client provides commercial insights, research, solutions, strategy and advocacy to the consumer goods sector.
They connect organisations across the sector and lead on industry wide initiatives as well as managing bespoke projects. A key part of their offering is to make a positive difference in connecting and uniting Industry building on a trusted heritage with dynamic, forward thinking individuals.
Reporting to the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Director and working as part of the economics team, this role will play a key part in identifying big picture issues that are shaping the trends in retail and the consumer goods industry.
The role will be responsible for monitoring key economic indicators and policy developments and the impact this has on the food and consumer goods industry as well as contributing in key publications and supporting the chief economist to deliver bespoke research as required.
To be successful in this role candidates will be qualified with an Economic and Political Science degree or similar and have strong analytical skills coupled with a desire to work in the food and consumer goods industry.
It would be advantageous to have established project management skills, able to work under pressure and politically astute, able to adapt to moving timescales and objectives.
Based in the South East headquarters the role whilst based from the office offers flexible home working. A home base within a reasonable distance so as to be able to attend the office when required is sufficient and the incumbent can expect a professional and flexible approach to work balance moving forward.
