Environmental Advisor

Job description

An exciting new opportunity has opened up for an Environmental Advisor within a leading global energy organisation. You will primarily be working on construction projects in Scotland, supporting the Environmental Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS).

You will be supporting the Environmental Manager to meet environmental targets and maintain and improve both the energy and environmental management systems. Responsibilities will include conducting environmental inspections and audits, collating site environmental data, and supporting to ensure environmental compliance. This role will encompass lots of stakeholder engagement, so you will need to possess strong communication skills, and also entails keeping up to date with relevant legislation, so you will need to be proactive and demonstrate your initiative. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity gain experience in departments across the wider team to gain insight and an understanding of other business areas.

For this role, you will need to be motivated, be able to effectively work and communicate with others, as well as always looking for more efficient and effective solutions. You should also have a relevant degree and an IEMA membership at Graduate level or above. It would be very beneficial to have previous experience in the construction/civil engineering sector.

This role is based in Scotland and will involve extensive travel to various sites, so you should be based in Scotland or be willing to relocate for the role.
