As part of that continued drive for setting and achieving high standards the company are looking to recruit a Sustainability and Environment Manager to lead on the design, development, implementation and management of all Environmental policies and processes to deliver best in class measurable performance and behaviours.
The role will provide advice guidance and offer solutions in relation to current and emerging legal requirements and industry standards to offer a 'best in class' standard across the company's 6 sites in the UK.
A critical part of this role will be to manage the carbon reduction scheme, providing innovative solutions and strategies as well as managing the EMS (ISO 14001) and Sustainability Management System (BES 6001). The role will include mentoring, working with key stakeholders across the business, provide training and auditing as well as ensuring legal compliance and keeping abreast of any legislative updates which may impact the business.
Candidates should have experience working in the industrial, manufacturing or construction sector with a demonstrable track record of delivery in Sustainability and Environment, particularly with Carbon reduction programmes.
It is expected that candidates will the appropriate qualifications, ideally graduate level with membership of relevant body such as IEMA.
The role is based north of Manchester and the company facilitate hybrid working with 3 days on site expected.
